Full Sail Fine Art Blog
By John Cooney
This is our maiden voyage and the first blog entry on the Full Sail Fine Art Website.
For those of you who have found us I hope you enjoy the amazing original oil paintings by Russell Recchion. Amazing and also beautiful paintings of naval aircraft carriers and aircraft at sea.
This venture for Russ & I is truly a work of passion! We’ve thought about working together for years. These challenging times and days our country and in fact the whole world are going through, Russ & I thought "why not combine forces and friendship to create something special during a time that we know may be extremely difficult for many."
Our goal is to create a spectacular series of fine art prints that are available at different levels of collection. I encourage everyone who visits our Virtual Gallery of Naval Aviation Art to take the time to really look at these prints. I believe visitors will not find better works of art that commemorates the amazing beauty associated with our US Navy at sea. I’ve served onboard and even catapulted off the ship you see pictured here, the USS Nimitz “Old Salt.” Russ eloquently captures the majesty and mass of a US Navy aircraft carrier that displaces over 100,000 tons of water to float and provide a landing environment to navy pilots!
Full Sail Fine Art is committed to providing art that epitomizes the feats of courage that happens around the clock and around the world every day!
Please sign up today as a "Full Sail Fine Art Shipmate" and it will be my pleasure to keep you updated to upcoming events and the next original work of art by Russell Recchion to be released as another collectable. The “scuttlebutt” onboard has it that Russell is working on another painting to be offered soon as his 3rd Naval Aviation limited series fine art print. Stay tuned.
Fair winds and farewell for now,
John
